Welcome to Options Group

Options Group is a leading provider of specialist services for children, young people and adults with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC), learning disabilities and complex needs; and behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD). Established in 1999, we are now trusted by more than 70 local authorities to provide specialist care, education and therapy to a total of over 200 children, young people and adults at any one time.

Options Group exists to make a difference, enabling the people in our care to fulfill their individual dreams, aspirations and potential for independence. For ease of use this website has been split into 2 sections; 1 for our specialist ASC services (purple) and 1 for our specialist BESD services (green).

Services for people with
autistic spectrum conditions

Our person-centred programmes for people with ASC integrate the key elements of care, education and therapy. Providing stimulating learning environments and comprehensive clinical support enables us to promote social, communication and life skills development alongside educational achievement.

Our ASC specific services include 3 Special Schools, 3 Adolescent to Adult Preparation Services (AALPS), 2 Community Support Services plus a range of long term residential options for young people and adults focusing on life skills development and inclusion.

Services for people with
behavioural, emotional and social difficulties

We adopt a highly individualised approach to integrating care, education and therapy in our BESD services, focusing on continuity and consistency whilst enabling increased independence. Our personalised programmes are designed to enable children and young people to feel nurtured and secure as they make tangible, measureable progress towards independent living.

Our BESD services include Young Options, residential and educational services for children and young adults; Family Options, a specialist fostering agency for young people aged 0 to 17; and Further Options, ongoing community based accommodation and support for young people and adults aged 16+.
