After we have received a request for a place we assess the child or young person over a time period defined with the referrer.

The Registered Manager/Care Managers, Headteacher/Senior Teacher and SLT will separately and together meet with parents and guardians, schools and other significant agencies to gather information on the child or young person and complete a comprehensive initial assessment.

This assessment informs our preparations for the new student's arrival.
