Our Approach

We adopt a person-centred approach to delivering outcomes-focused care that is flexible and delivered within a variety of environments.

By providing waking day curriculums and timetables, we are able to ensure that learning doesn’t just take place in our classrooms, workshops or studios. For example, in our schools life skills development is combined with the study of the National Curriculum and delivered through the use of meaningful and purposeful activities.

Our holistic, eclectic approach combines elements of recognised approaches and strategies such as PECS (the Picture Exchange Communication System), SPELL (Structure, Positive, Empathy, Low-arousal, Links) and TEACCH (the Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children).

With a focus on maintaining environments that emphasise structure and purpose, these tools promote learning by helping to reduce behaviours that can result from frustration and anxiety.
