Personalisation

The Personalisation Agenda is being implemented across adult social care to ensure that people who receive support, whether provided by statutory services or funded by themselves, will have choice and control over the shape of that support in all care settings.

At Options Group we ensure that the people we support in our adult services dictate the type and level of services they receive by consulting them regularly about their needs, progress and preferences.

Personalisation aligns with our own desire to develop person centred programmes in partnership with the people we support and ensure the genuine participation of people in the decisions that affect their lives.

We also believe that Personalisation should have a direct impact on how we provide services for children and young people. For example, we ensure that all of our schools and colleges promote choice and control by giving people access to independent advocacy services and recording their preferences through questionnaires and ‘choice boards’. Parents and carers are encouraged to visit, ask questions and consult with us on the care their children are receiving.

Implementing the key messages of the Personalisation agenda in all of our services also means that the care each person receives throughout their journey with Options Group is flexible and continually adapted to meet their changing needs.
