We have several warm and homely self-contained flats which have been specifically designed to meet the needs of children and young people with ASD.

The flats contain single bedrooms, most of which are en-suite, with communal lounges/diners, bathrooms and kitchens. Built in design features like mood lighting and piped music help to create peaceful atmospheres where children and young people can feel safe and develop their life and social skills with confidence.

Our wide range of on-site facilities promote the development of life skills, these include:

• A sports hall, all-weather games pitch and fitness suite where students can develop new leisure interests and maintain physical fitness
• An ASD-specific playground and an outside wet playground with water cannon
• A hydrotherapy pool and sensory room for exploring new sensory experiences
• Horticultural facilities which are used to develop business, enterprise and retail skills
• A cinema and bistro which allow students to familiarise themselves with these environments and practice skills which can then be applied in the community
• A climbing wall which is used to develop self-confidence and explore positive risk-taking
• Trips to the seaside and to local amenities, where important skills like decision making, managing emotions and working with others can be developed
• Specialist equipment including interactive whiteboards and an IT suite that makes learning stimulating and fun!
