Kinsale has a range of accommodation suitable for people with varying needs. In the main building, we have 5 flats which each house 3 to 6 students.

Students have their own large bedroom, with en-suite facilities if appropriate, and each flat has a large living/dining area and kitchen. We also have a 2-bedroom flat for young people making the transition to more independent living. Day to day, everyone gets involved with cooking and organising in the flats.

We also have a wide range of facilities which give students the opportunity to develop appropriate skills and familiarise themselves with environments they’ll experience in the local community.

These include:

• A sports hall and fitness suite for PE
• A specially built and ASD specific outdoor activity area
• A sensory suite for exploring new sensory experiences
• A fully stocked library
• A bistro cafe, used to develop catering and customer service skills
• A cinema, to encourage social skills development
• A music room, to help students express and develop musical talent
• Regular day trips and outings to develop skills like managing emotions, working with others and decision making even further
• Specialist equipment including Apple Macs and interactive whiteboards to facilitate interactive learning environments
