AALPS North is committed to person-centred planning in line with the Government’s Autism Strategy and the personalisation agenda. Every young person has an active role in developing their individualised programmes of care and personal development, ensuring that their needs are met 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and that their individual choices are respected. All staff are trained in Skills for Care Learning Disability Qualifications and complete a mandatory accredited learning disability and autism specific training course. Each member of staff is required to complete NVQ level 2 or above and receives comprehensive training in specialist health needs such as epilepsy. Nominated staff members receive accredited training for the administration of medication whilst all staff are required to pass PRICE and LDQ foundation standards. AALPS North also offers a wide range of therapies and clinical support where required. All therapy and clinical programmes are overseen by Options Group's Professional and Clinical Multidisciplinary Team (PCMT). |
