Specialist Approaches and Resources
Our collective experience has enabled us to develop a variety of approaches which promote positive outcomes. These include:
- person-centred planning ensuring that the services we provide reflect all the individual needs and wishes of the people we support
- using clinical services and therapies to facilitate learning, whereby our education and care staff teams work in partnership with therapists and clinical professionals to identify the optimum conditions and approaches for learning
- Learn More Outdoors, promotes the use of outdoor activity programmes and local community services to help people with ASD engage in purposeful and meaningful activity. These activities are designed to help the people that we support develop important life and social skills like problem solving, managing emotions and finances and working with others.
We also have access to specialist resources that help us to deliver outcomes-focussed, comprehensive and consistent care at all times. These include:
- multi-disciplinary teams comprising clinical and therapy specialists, teachers and care staff, who work in partnership with social workers and parents/carers
- specialist IT and technology including the use of communication tools like PECS, WECS and social stories
