15+ Services
The Cruckton Hall Complex has developed a transitional service in response to frequent requests from referring authorities and families. Harlescott is based in the heart of Shrewsbury and provides older boys, aged 15-19, with the opportunity of a successful transition into local colleges, with additional support as required. Residents of Harlescott House and its sister services, Harlescott Lodge and Studio, benefit from practicing the skills that they will need to live independently as adults. Harlescott offers support packages designed to enable residents to make significant progress towards achieving employment and a home of their own.

Accommodation
Harlescott House in Shrewsbury provides three distinct residential opportunities. Within the main building, there are 9 single bedrooms plus a single-occupancy independence flat, giving an early opportunity to practice newly-acquired skills. The unit is staffed both day and night. Harlescott Lodge provides a four-bedded home, again staffed around the clock, as the next stage in the move to independence. Residents will have developed their living skills to the extent that they can budget and take on the majority of responsibility for looking after themselves, with appropriate levels of staff support. The final part of the Harlescott complex is the Studio, a two bedded bungalow where residents take full responsibility for themselves, but have the back-up of the Harlescott team available on site, if required.
Educational Support
Most Harlescott residents will access one of the Further Education colleges. They will pursue a mixture of academic and work skills courses, as part of an individual programme designed with the benefit of the expertise of the Cruckton Hall Education Team. Results have been very successful, with 3 students in 2004 obtaining university places. Cruckton Hall has a national reputation for its work in enabling boys with a range of Autistic Spectrum Disorders and associated emotional and behavioural difficulties to achieve excellent educational results and go on to live successful and fulfilling adult lives.
Contingency arrangements are made for those who need time out from college to continue their educational programme within Harlescott, with appropriate support from the Cruckton Education Team.
Therapeutic Support
The school offers consultant sessions from an Educational Psychologist, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Speech and Language Therapist. A Registered Nurse is available to all pupils. Comprehensive health plans are part of the holistic approach at Cruckton Hall.
