Family Options provides specialist fostering placements for people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, these include placements for –

• Children and young adults
• Parents and children
• Asylum seekers with children

We work in partnership with local authorities and our foster carers to ensure that all placements are carefully matched and planned and to develop programmes of support that enable young people to return to their home areas wherever possible.

Each carer is trained in the Young Options Therapeutic Approach which is based on positive psychological principles that emphasise a person-centred approach focusing on dialogue and other forms of self-expression.

Carers are also provided with ongoing professional and personal support from our specialist team of psychotherapists and consultants.
