Options are dedicated to the training and development of all our staff. Through our commitment to a continual and credible programme of training and development, we aim to have the best quality and experienced individuals and teams in the sector.
All of our employees are provided with a comprehensive induction and training programme. For care staff this is in the form of a two – three week induction prior to commencing their role to ensure they are skilled and confident in fulfilling the role responsibilities.
Ongoing Learning & Development
We believe that effective learning and development is a continual process, and our dedicated team provide employees with opportunities and support to develop and enhance their skills, knowledge and ongoing professional career development.
All training and qualifications offered are current and meet all essential legislation and regulatory requirements. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond the mandatory requirements, with the majority of our training and qualifications accredited through CIEH, City & Guilds, BILD and the NAS. Where appropriate, our clinical teams input into training to ensure that it encompasses relevant best practice.
All of our training is bespoke in order to meet the needs of the individuals in our care, taking exceptional steps to ensure that our learning and development opportunities meet their needs and is safe, relevant, proportionate and engaging.
Upon commencement of employment, all care staff are supported and encouraged to participate in and complete the relevant sector induction standards/certificate. At reaching 6 months of employment, all care staff are then enrolled onto the relevant Adult or Children’s Diploma, and are expected to complete within set timeframes in order to comply with regulatory requirements and best practice. This process ensures that all of our care staff are competent and qualified within their role, and possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
