Let’s face it, without good carers, we wouldn’t be able to support the young people in our care. But Family Options is about more than the “lip service” support. We genuinely treat our carers as part of our team, offer them an outstanding support and reward package to help them in their career as foster carers.
Our foster carers support package includes:

A thorough assessment and induction process which will fully prepare you for being a foster carer

Training and support in preparation for each young person placed with you

Retainer scheme for carers between placements

24/7 support – telephone access to a social worker and other members of the family options team

Formal training and qualification routes including NVQ Level 3 Foster Care

Naturally, our foster carers have all signed a “foster carer agreement” undertaken appropriate training and have been approved by Panel.
