Support Packages
Each young person is allocated a Support Worker on admission to Further Options. The Support Worker will work alongside the young person during the young person's journey to independence. The support hours and tasks vary according to the young person's needs. The various support areas include;
Housing Support
The provision of accommodation with support for young people that have the necessary skills for living independently, but who require practical help in certain areas. For example;

Developing domestic/life skills

Help in managing finances and benefit claims

Help maintaining the safety and security of the dwelling

Help with shopping errand running and good neighbour tasks
Independent Support
Providing a young person with enough support that encourages personal growth, but utilises the basic skills that he/she may already have, thus enabling them to achieve total independence. For Example;

Help finding other accommodation

Developing knowledge of utility bills/benefits

Help in setting up and maintaining home or tenancy

Advice, advocacy and liaison
Semi-Independent Support
Giving additional support to living skills while building the foundations of independence, helping with all aspects of daily activities and providing structure to the week.
Intensive Support
Providing support to a young person requiring a high level of input, addressing areas of need that have been highlighted and working though a structured Pathway to Independence. For Example;

Developing social skills/behaviour management

Help in gaining access to other services

Help in establishing social contacts and activities

Help in establishing personal safety and security

Supervision and monitoring of health and well being

Supervising or monitoring medication
