Options for Life is our day service here at Options Malvern View, supporting adults with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.
Through our Person Centred Approach we work in partnership with service users their families, external professionals and our clinical team to offer a range of leisure educational/work opportunities, vocational activities and life skills. Supporting activities within the community to promote inclusion.
Through the pre-assessment process we are able to produce a Care Plan that identifies and supports the needs of the individual. Providing 1-1 support we offer structure and consistency in a safe environment that promotes wellbeing. Through our staffing experience and knowledge we support service users to communicate effectively and to express their wishes.
On entering our day service a Pathway Plan is written which identifies required needs and is meaningful to support the service user on their journey through our service. Activity planners are produced through the PCP process which supports independence and choice and control. A Skills Portfolio is written which provides support to achieve skills that increase independence. Our clinical team will provide support and produce a PBSP to support service users to manage and self-regulate their behaviours offering a wide range of strategies to meet the individual needs. Providing regular review and PCP meetings ensures our recording and monitoring systems offer transparency.
Staff are equipped through training and the implementation of the NAS SPELL framework to have the understanding, empathy and skills to meet the needs arising from autism and associated difficulties.
